About Me

Hi, I'm Hannah Wild, a BACP registered counsellor based in Ramsgate, Kent. I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, disconnected or unsure of themselves. Whether you're navigating stress, difficult relationships, or simply carrying more than you show on the surface, I offer a calm, down-to-earth space to talk.

I listen closely, help you make sense of what's going on underneath, and support you to feel more confident in who you are and what you need. My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy with a psychodynamic focus, which means you're at the heart of our work together. I also explore how past experiences might be shaping your present, helping you understand patterns and create space for change.

I've worked in NHS crisis teams and with students in higher education, so I'm comfortable with big emotions and life's tougher moments. I understand that seeking therapy can feel daunting, but I aim to make the process as accessible and welcoming as possible.

What to Expect from Counselling

Starting therapy can feel daunting. Here's what you can expect when working with me:

Free Initial Consultation

We'll start with a free 15-minute phone call. This is a chance for you to ask questions, share a bit about what brings you to therapy, and see if we're a good fit. There's no pressure or obligation.

A Safe, Confidential Space

Everything we discuss remains confidential (within professional boundaries). You're free to share at your own pace, and I won't judge or try to fix you. This is your space to be yourself.

Exploring Together

I won't tell you what to do or give you a list of solutions. Instead, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences together. You'll gain clarity, understand yourself better, and find your own way forward.

Flexible Sessions

Sessions are typically 50 minutes, weekly or fortnightly depending on what works for you. I offer both in-person sessions in Ramsgate and online sessions via secure video call.

Some people come for a few sessions, others for longer. We'll work at a pace that feels right for you, and you're in control of when and how therapy ends.

Person-Centred with a Psychodynamic Focus

My therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centred counselling, which means you are genuinely at the heart of our work together. You're the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.

I also draw on psychodynamic principles, which means we may look at how past experiences and early relationships continue to influence how you feel, think, and relate to others today. Sometimes the patterns we develop early in life shape our present in ways we don't consciously notice. Bringing these into awareness can create space for real change.

Tailored to You

While I have a core therapeutic foundation, I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person is unique, and so is every therapeutic relationship. I'll work with you in a way that feels right for you, at a pace that suits you.
