Data Security
All personal information is stored securely in accordance with GDPR requirements. Clinical notes are kept separately from identifying information and all electronic data is password protected and encrypted.
Confidentiality
Everything discussed in our sessions is confidential, with the following exceptions:
- If I believe there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others
- If required by law or court order
- For the purposes of clinical supervision (names and identifying details are not shared)
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request corrections to your data
- Request deletion of your data (where applicable)
- Object to processing of your data
- Request transfer of your data
Data Retention
I retain client records for 7 years after our last contact, as recommended by the BACP. After this period, records are securely destroyed.
